Young Highlanders (Beginners 1st – 8th grade)
The Young Highlanders is a developmental program for all youth boys in grades 1st through 8th grades. Most registrants are beginner players, new to the game of lacrosse. Led by our Youth Program Director, Coach EJ Neese, all participants receive an introduction to the game of lacrosse.
The program is designed as such to provide young athletes with the proper stick technique, basic skill fundamentals and some game IQ. We highly recommend all boys participate in at least one 4 week-session of Young Highlanders development program prior to tryouts for the Spring club teams.
We offer 1-2 Young Highlander sessions in the Fall, consisting of 8 practices. Our coaches introduce the minimum fundamentals required to be successful in the game of lacrosse, including passing, catching, scooping, and shooting.
This is a great opportunity to introduce your player to the wonderful game of lacrosse. It is a fun yet relaxed instructional environment
